The real issue, in my view, lies in the other direction: why is it that the world seems so replete with colossally wealthy, unimaginative wankers who seem in abject denial of their mortality and whose overriding motivation seems to be directed towards some ego-drenched, self-indulgent drivel that will likely not give them real satisfaction anyway?
